over the weekend

I had such a great weekend.
Friday started off with Ames and me having happy hour after work at Chevy's

Then, 4 of us went downtown to Beale on Broadway, one of our favorite blues bars. And of course, we had to meet and hang with the band.

Then, we headed down to The Famous Bar to play some pool. I was on FIRE!

Saturday consisted of complete laziness and watching Revenge.
Boo must have partied it up at the house Friday night while I was out, because she napped all day on the couch.

I also got my Elle's Studio package in the mail. I won a gift certificate last week and did a little shopping.

Sunday, I hung out with a guy who brought me this card.
For privacy sake at this time, let's call him Ted. (since I just watched Ted last night and found it quite hilarious)

You see, Ted and I have been friends for 6 years and started dating last year. We did everything wrong in our very passionate relationship. (moving too fast and moving in together too soon). I have *never* had a back and forth boyfriend until him. I was finally over it a couple of months ago, when he decided to get his sh@t together. He has been a totally different person this past month. Putting me as a priority, talking to me intimately and truly caring and respecting my feelings, opinions and views.
Ted has genuinely thought long and hard about us. I can tell because the deep things he says now; it's how I have always felt, but couldn't say it aloud.
One thing that was so true, he said this weekend: "you have always been the strong one, to put up with my crap and pull us through. Now, let me be the strong one for us and prove to you that we are meant to be." And he totally has. HOWEVER, my stipulation is; 6 months. He wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Then, 6 months is only a brief moment. And I KNOW without a doubt he means everything is doing, becoming and saying (benefit of knowing him for 7 years now). BUT, I know change is hard to keep up. So, before I decide to fully give me my heart...for good. I need to see this change last for at least 6 months. He quickly agreed.
So, time will tell.

Together, we made this amazing Rotisserie Chicken Enchilada recipe. It's always been one of my faves.
(recipe in the link above). Easy to make and the instructor is hilarious! Try it out!

What did you do over the weekend?
